The journey

Growth path

Six milestones from first enquiry to industry-ready graduate — branching upward like a living tree.

  1. Root
    Step 1

    From Somalia to Malaysia

After choosing to study abroad, this Somali student selected Malaysia for its English-medium aviation programmes, affordable living costs, and strong links to Southeast Asia's growing airline industry.

  2. Step 2

    Applying with ARNE

ARNE helped shortlist suitable aviation institutions, prepare application documents, and navigate scholarship and fee options before submitting to the chosen university.

  3. Step 3

    EMGS & arrival

After receiving the offer letter, the student applied through EMGS for a Visa Approval Letter (VAL), obtained an entry visa, and travelled to Malaysia with all required documents.

  4. Step 4

    Health screening

Within seven working days of arrival, the mandatory EMGS health examination was completed at an approved panel clinic — a required step before student pass endorsement.

  5. Step 5

    Aviation training

Classroom studies in airline operations, safety, and hospitality were combined with practical sessions at airports, aircraft cabins, and ground service facilities.

  6. Canopy
    Step 6

    Industry exposure

Training placements and industry visits with airline crews and airport teams gave real-world experience alongside qualified pilots, cabin crew, and ground staff.
